Stephen Smith founded Smith Temporaries Inc. (since 2001, CornerStone Staffing) in Fort Worth in June 1991. Mr. Smith remains a principal today, providing oversight, management, and strategic vision for CornerStone Staffing. Mr. Smith holds a Masters Degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois.
Jody Smith has been co-owner of CornerStone since it's conception in 1991. Jody's background includes sales and sales management with companies such as the Colgate-Palmolive Company and the Noxell Corporation in the Chicago, New York and Dallas-Ft. Worth markets. She is very active in community and non-profits activities, and served three terms as the mayor of Flower Mound, TX. Through this service, Jody has had much experience in business and economic development with extensive work with a number of local Chambers of Commerce and Texas Legislation.
Susan DeGuire joined CornerStone Staffing in 1997 as an Account Manager and then moved up through the ranks to Branch Manager, District Manager, and then Sales VP. Since 1997 she has helped manage large volume contingent workforces throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area. Susan currently oversees our Account Manager program with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service to our clients. Susan holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Plymouth University, Plymouth, New Hampshire.
Heather Stroh has been with CornerStone Staffing since 1996. Heather started as an Assistant Operations Manager with CornerStone then progressed to an Operations Manager of our largest light industrial office in 1998. She staffed over 2k associates a year for one client alone! Because of her drive & strong work ethic, Heather was quickly promoted to Sr. Operations Manager for clerical & light industrial offices...then on to Assistant Vice President of Operations and she now functions as the Vice President of Operations. As the leader of the Operations team, Heather directs our recruiting team to ensure our client order needs are met and service expectations are surpassed. Prior to her career with CornerStone, Heather was in the retail management industry.
D'Ann Anderson has been with CornerStone Staffing since March, 1998. D'Ann started as an Assistant Operations Manager with CornerStone then promoted in 3 months to an On-site Operations Manager for one of our larger on-site accounts in 1998. After several years, D'Ann moved into an office to learn the Operations Manager role within our organization. Due to her strong work ethic and "can do" attitude, D'Ann was soon promoted to a Sr. Operations Manager over the on-sites. She worked hand and hand with her team, lead by example and has since been moved into the Assistant Vice President of Operations. D'Ann continues to work with our on-sites and our offices to ensure that our clients are taken care of with the utmost professionalism and dedication. Prior to her career with CornerStone, D'Ann was in retail management.
Julie Box joined CornerStone Staffing as an Assistant Operations Manager in 1999 and immediately excelled as a professional recruiter. She was promoted to Operations Manager and given her own office to manage in just four short months. Julie managed several remarkably successful clerical offices focusing on professional placements with premium business clients in Mortgage, Accounting, Finance, Insurance, Engineering and Information Technology to name a few. Her recruitment and networking strategies have proven highly successful with all our business partners. Due to this success, Julie was hand selected to start and direct CornerStone's Professional Placement Division in 2006. This division has flourished under her direction and has grown to include some of the strongest recruiters the marketplace has to offer.
